Electrolysis is a type of permanent hair removal and can also be used for red veins on the face.
The procedure takes between 15-30 minutes per treatment and involved the therapist using a fine needle to send a current to the hair to permanently prevent regrowth. It takes time to achieve permanent hair removal as each hair follicle must be destroyed along with any existing hair to prevent any future hair growth.
Our beauty therapist has had specialised training in electrolysis and follows strict guidelines to ensure maximum safety and effectiveness for the client.
Electrolysis can be done on most skin and hair colours however light coloured downy hair may not be suitable.

Some things to remember when considering electrolysis:

The hair must be in its growth stage to be treated effectively

The same hair's are not being removed every treatment. It can take anywhere from several months to over a year to permanently stop hair growth in the area being treated.

Regular treatments are important for great results.

Once electrolysis treatments have begun it is important that hair is not plucked or waxed between treatments. Shaving of the hair is fine!
Pre-Treatment:
Avoid plucking or waxing of the area to be treated for at least 6 weeks before beginning Electrolysis.
Avoid using sunbeds or being exposed to the sun before and over treatment period
Shave or clip the area to be treated 3-4 days before your electrolysis treatment.
Post-Treatment:
Avoid using sunbeds or being exposed to the sun
For 24 hours after treatment avoid makeup (on treated area, if applicable), swimming and strenuous exercise.
Avoid touching treated area with unwashed hands
If treated area is irritated Aloe Vera gel may be applied.
